IUIC Daughters of Sarah Practice Test

The idea being tested is doing every task with wholehearted, sincere effort as if you’re serving the Lord. The verse in question gives a direct instruction: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. It places God as the audience for your work, not people, so your motivation matters. “Heartily” means with real energy and commitment, while “as to the Lord” shifts the aim from earning human praise to honoring God through your diligence. That shift is what makes this the best fit for the prompt—the emphasis is on serving the Lord through all you do, rather than seeking approval from others.

This guidance sits within Paul’s broader teaching about living out faith in daily duties, encouraging believers to bring integrity and enthusiasm to ordinary tasks because they have a higher, divine audience. The other options reference different topics (obedience to parents, honoring parents, or a separate work) and do not convey the same instruction about working wholeheartedly for the Lord, so they don’t match the idea as closely.
